Boreal developed a management plan for the Loch Lomond Watershed, including Latimer Lake, to assess conditions, identify risks, and protect water quality in partnership with ACAP Saint John. Through field investigations and analyses, we evaluated land use, forest cover, and human activities, emphasizing watershed resilience and ecological integrity. The plan focuses on forest restoration to transition degraded areas into a diverse, climate-adapted Wabanaki-Acadian Forest, reducing risks from pests, wildfires, and climate change. Aligned with the City of Saint John’s goals, it supports strategic land conservation, proactive monitoring, biodiversity investment, and long-term water quality protection for a sustainable future.
