Lepreau Terrestrial Environment Baseline Characterization

Boreal was subcontracted to Dillon Consulting/SOAR and conducted baseline terrestrial studies that included:
- Terrestrial vegetation surveys to develop a forest inventory;
- Wetland delineations to identify the size and boundaries of wetlands contained within the project area;
- Wetland functional assessments to determine the ecological value of wetlands within the project area;
- Bat detection surveys to monitor for the presence of resident and migratory bats in study area.
Boreal collected baseline data to support the permitting and EIA of the proposed Small Modular Reactor developments. NB Power required terrestrial and freshwater aquatic environment baseline characterization on the existing property at Point Lepreau.
